MILITARY ACCOUNTANT GENERAL ANNOUNCED FOR SITARA-I-IMTIAZ (PUBLIC SERVICE)

Rawalpindi, 14 August 2026: The President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has been pleased to announce the award of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Public Service) to Mr. Kashif Ahmed Noor, Military Accountant General, in recognition of his exceptional services and outstanding contributions to public service.

Mr. Kashif Ahmed Noor, a distinguished officer of the Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service (PA&AS), has played a pivotal role in modernizing defence financial management and strengthening institutional efficiency, transparency and service delivery. Under his leadership, the Pakistan Military Accounts Department has pursued wide-ranging reforms, with particular emphasis on digital transformation, technological self-reliance, improved service delivery and employee welfare.

His notable initiatives include the implementation of the Direct Credit System (DCS) for military pensioners and the development and implementation of the Accounting Information Management System (AIMS)—an indigenously developed digital platform supported by locally established technological infrastructure. AIMS represents a major step towards modernization and technological self-reliance while safeguarding the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive defence-related financial data.

His leadership has also placed particular emphasis on improving services for serving personnel and pensioners, strengthening institutional capacity, and advancing welfare-oriented initiatives for the officers and staff of the Department.

The conferment of Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Public Service) is a prestigious national recognition of Mr. Noor’s distinguished public service, visionary leadership and sustained contribution towards institutional transformation and excellence.

The Officers and Staff of the Pakistan Military Accounts Department extend their heartiest congratulations to the Military Accountant General on this well-deserved national honour.
