Initially, payment accounting of officers' pension was being performed in the Office of CMA & Pension Lahore which was shifted to Controller Military Accounts (Officers) Rawalpindi in Decemebr 1966. However, it was felt that a separate setup was required to provide exclusive service for pension payment of officers. CMA (Officers' Pension) was thus established on April 18, 1990.

Being a subordinate organization of CCMA, CMA (OP) is engaged in payment accounting of pension cases of officers.
